Aqaba International School offers a balanced curriculum with the weekly timetable divided into 40 lessons per week. All students follow a common curriculum that ensures continuity of study for students who may transfer to or from other English National Curriculum schools around the world.
A break down of the number of periods allocated to each subject is attached. Under Jordanian requirements, the school must provide Arabic, Social Studies (Jordanian) and Islamic Studies for Muslim students.
When Jordanian students attend Arabic, Expatriate students attend a 'Beginners Arabic' programme. During Social Studies expatriate students participate in extra Art and Health lessons.
