Our Staff

GEMS aims to ensure that high standards of quality and professional service are maintained across our network of schools.

The performance of Head teachers and all staff is subject to regular review and from this, further professional development needs are identified. This enables our staff to be at the forefront of good practice and also prepares them to progress within the organization.

The staff at Aqaba International School are all highly qualified, ‘handpicked’ to give the students the best possible learning environment.

Expatriate teachers, chosen from many parts of the globe, complement the local Jordanian teachers. This mix provides our students with an incredible depth of expertise and experience.

Significant emphasis is placed on professional development of our staff. This translates into learning programmes which are consistent and supportive of one another across grades and curriculum areas.

Finally, one belief is shared by all: Excellent staff make a significant difference to a child’s learning and self esteem.

You can first explain the issue to her, and she will liaise with the relevant staff member. We have very professional staff who are quite capable of dealing with the routine issues that present themselves daily in a school environment. These staff will in turn refer issues to higher authorities when they feel it is necessary.

Parents should never enter the school or classrooms without permission. All visitors must report to the office. Parents collecting children must do so from the designated areas.
