Admission Policy

 Application Requirements

Completed application forms can only be accepted if accompanied by the Administration Fee of JD400.

Aqaba International School requires all families to submit the following documents for each child entering education in Jordan. Without these documents entry for your child may be refused.

• Legalised copies of Birth Certificate
• Valid residency permit
• 4 recent Passport size photographs
• Legalized copy of family book (for Jordanian families only)

At the time of admissions you will be requested to provide the following:

• Information regarding allergies, special medical conditions, etc.
• Up to date contact details, and emergency telephone numbers for both parents
• Most recent school report
• Transfer Certificate from previous school (see relevant paragraph)

Please also check that your child has received all necessary vaccinations. Please consult your Physician if in doubt.

Transfer Certificate (done through Directorate of Education)

The original document contains the following information

• Date of enrolment
• Year group placement
• Date the child left the school
• School stamp and signature

We may require a letter from the child's previous school stating the child is in the relevant year (from African, Asian and CIS States these documents must be authenticated).

NB: The corresponding year group is of vital importance and the school may refuse the child entry if the year group does not correspond with that of the new school.

Entrance Assessment

Each student applying to enter the school must sit a placement assessment. This is English and Math based. The results are shared with the parents prior to placement taking place.
